All-day auction every Tuesday..

10 am - A weekly auction of antiques, collectables and household items.

  • A huge variety of both antique and modern furniture, furnishings and collectables, jewellery, silver, gold, watches and much more.

Buyer's Premium

Unless stated otherwise, the buyer shall pay a premium of 22% plus VAT on the hammer price of each lot they purchase.

Payment

All goods purchased at auction must be paid for within three working days of the sale.

Payment can be made in cash, with a debit card only or via bank transfer. Buyers should be aware we do not accept American Express. Debit card payments can be made in person or over the phone only to a maximum invoice balance of £500. Goods paid for but not collected by the end of the following week may incur storage fees.

Absentee Bidding

If you cannot attend the sale in person, you are most welcome to leave us with an absentee, or, 'commission bid'. When the lot goes under the hammer, the auctioneer will bid on your behalf, as if you were in the room. We will try to purchase the lot for you as cheaply as is allowed by other bidders and the reserve price on the lot, if any. This service is free of charge.

Telephone Bidding

Telephone bidding is available upon request for lots expected to achieve in excess of £500. This involves a member of staff calling you on a chosen telephone number during the auction and allowing you to bid as if you were in the room. If you are bidding from overseas we cannot offer this service to you, instead please bid via our online area. It is recommended that you book telephone bids as soon as possible before the auction.

The member of staff will make several attempts to call you. If we cannot make contact the responsibility lies with the bidder, not the auction house. Due to the inherent dangers of this method of bidding, T N Miller Auctioneers always recommend that buyers leave commission bids instead. We reserve the right to decline a telephone bid if the lot is not of sufficient value.

Delivery available

Larger pieces including furniture can be delivered within the North East by our own fleet of vans.
